junior parkrun, Barshaw Park

In some exciting news there are plans in progress for the introduction of a new junior parkrun at Barshaw Park, Paisley.

Finance and permission to use the park have all been granted but they are looking to increase the core team which would safeguard the setup and future running of the event.

If you would like to get involved then please send details in an email to barshaw.friends@gmail.com.

George Cummings Relays, Volunteers & Catering

Can anyone not running the George Cummings Relays on Saturday 7th October  but are available to steward on the course please email johnrod1@btinternet.com or let John know at training. You can also add your name to the entry page as a volunteer.

We would require you to available at the Church Hall by between 1-2pm.

CATERING REQUEST

Once again I would like to ask for donations to the catering the club provides at the relay race.
We have a great reputation for the quality of our catering. So please look out your recipes, get your pinnie on
and get baking.

No sandwiches or filled rolls please, but all cakes, biscuits etc will be gratefully received.
Please bring it along to the hall on the day.

Volunteers Required

Kilbarchan AAC would like to invite members, parents, former members and any other willing volunteers to take an active interest in contributing to the development of the club. Following the recent success of two of our members at the Rio 2016 Olympics we are experiencing a high influx of new members and we expect the demand to rise further.
This is an ideal chance for former members to give something back to the sport they got so much from in the past, for new volunteers to be engaged in a very rewarding role and an ideal opportunity for younger volunteers to gain experience and gain C.V. enhancing qualifications.

No formal training is required but is available on request.

If you would like to volunteer, please fill in the contact form by clicking here or email Robert Hawkins at RbHawkins4@gmail.com

Leading Athletics Courses next month

In the lead up to the next October Junior athletics camp at the ON-X Renfrewshire Leisure are looking into the possibility of running a leading athletics course for volunteers and coaches.

Ideally, a course 2/3 weeks before the October holidays for all volunteers / coaches would work best.
The course has a max of 25 so it could be opened up to senior pupil volunteers, Kilbarchan volunteers / athletes and sessional staff.

If you fit into any of those categories and would be interested in taking part in the course please fill out your details below.
