Coaching Assistant Online Course

scottishathletics are delighted to advise they are now able to offer the Coaching Assistant Course online with details and course dates provided in the scottishathletics website

There are of course some changes to the format of the course:

  1. The Online Modules will be delivered over 4 modules two days apart, when signing up for the course volunteers mush select the dates and days of the week in which they are available for all modules

    Options are – Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday or Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday
  1. The Mandatory Safeguarding Module is built into the cost of the course – Access to the Safeguarding Module will be provided to volunteers after they enrol onto the course.
  1. In addition to the course and safeguarding modules there are At Home tasks for candidates to complete prior to each module which will take approx. 30minutes.  There will also be a 3 hour coaching practice session at a date TBC once the Covid-19 lockdown restrictions and social distancing recommendations allow.
  1. A PVG linked to a volunteers club is required, the Coaching Team will provide advice on how we manage this during the Covid-19 lockdown to club welfare officers and course candidates.
  1. Candidates must have access to a laptop, table or phone and WIFI to complete the modules.
  1. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age to enrol onto the Online version of the Coaching Asst. Course
