GAA MILER MEET and SCOTTISH 3000M CHAMPS U20/U17(C)Bobby Gavin

The GAA Miler Meet for races over 3000m & 800m took place on at a sunny Scotstoun in Glasgow on Friday evening.

Callum Matthews had a strong run in the 800m C heat running a PB of 1:58.17 for 2nd place.

Jemma Reekie was 3rd in the 800m women’s E race running 2:07.65, impressive racing once again as Jemma has been busy recently following her 4:20.49 1500m PB at Sportcity  last weekend where she broke her own U20 club record. (more…)

A number of Kilbarchan athletes competed in the annual representative match at Loughborough at the weekend.

Martin Lipton beat his own Kilbarchan club record for the 400M Hurdles, time 51.33 seconds with Connor Henderson also having a fine run, time 52.47 seconds. Anthony Young ran a speedy 48.55 seconds for the 400m and Jemma Reekie, representing GB Juniors, ran close to her best for the 3000metres, time 9.30.82. (more…)
