Kirsty Costello was on top form competing in the Throws Grand Prix at Livingston last weekend. The 14 year old form Elderslie, beat her own Scottish record twice in the competition, throwing the 3Kg hammer, 55.81m and later 55.91m., which also keeps her at the top of the UK rankings for the event.
Also last week,Euan Gillham won the Kirkintilloch 10K in the good time of 31 minutes 39 seconds.
And ultra runner Lesley McKerral completed her longest by far, the West Highland Way race, over 90 miles from Milngavie to Fort William, in some of the worst conditions of wind and rain for many years, Lesley finishing time 27 hours, 23 minutes and 24 seconds, finishing 100th from 209 starters.
