Proposed New Constitution

SPECIAL RESOLUTION

CHANGE OF LEGAL STRUCTURE & CONSTITUTION

Club Name: Kilbarchan Amateur Athletic Club

Special Resolution – Kilbarchan AAC [herein after referred to as the Club] to change its legal structure from an Unincorporated Charity to a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) and to adopt a new constitution appropriate for this structure.

Dear Member,

As per the requirements of the constitution of the Club clause 10, ‘Alterations to the Constitution’, the club’s committee at their meeting on 11 September, 2017 agreed to put the above special resolution to the members at the Annual General Meeting at Johnstone Town Hall on 25 October, 2017 at 7.30pm. Great Scottish Run 10k & Half Marathon Results, Sun 1 Oct 2017

On Sunday it was the turn of the senior athletes with the 10k starting off the day, just the three Kilbarchan runners in this one

Elspeth Curran was 6th in the women’s race in a time of 36:05, Stuart Kerr 77th overall in 37:37 & Grant Sandilands 151st in 39:55.

Next up was the half marathon with Callum Hawkins looking to defend his title from last year, he lead for the first few miles but as the race headed towards the South side Chris Thompson took hold of the race and opened up a gap. Callum hung on to 2nd for the majority of the second half of the race, closely tracked in behind by Tsegai Twelede who tried to take Callum in a sprint finish but Callum wasn’t to be denied and clinched the Scottish Half Marathon Champion title on the line both clocking 63:18.

Gemma Rankin made her way through the field to take 4th female in the race and Silver in the Scottish Half Marathon Championships, running 76:37.
