Callum and Derek Hawkins continued their preparations for the Olympic Games Marathon in Brazil next month by competing in the Men’s 10K in Glasgow last Sunday.  Callum crossed the winning line  in 29 minutes 54 seconds, closely followed by Derek, his  time 29.59 and there was also a fine run by Donald Petrie,  first in the over 55s category in 37.09.

Jemma Reekie travelled to Bedford for the English Track Championships and just missed out on a medal, finishing 4^th in the under 20s 800 metres, her time in a very close finish of 2.08.49, just one hundredth of a second behind the 3^rd placed athlete..

Klbarchan Athletic Club competed in the Youth Development League at Grangemouth on Sunday, where the outstanding performance was by David McNair in the under 15 boys 800m, David winning in 2.01.71, which broke a 16 year old club record .. This also puts David top of the Scottish age group rankings for the year and top ten in the UK
