  • Congratulations Amy Teasdale on selection to team Scotland for the Youth Commonwealth Games, Trinidad & Tobago on the 4th to 11th August; Amy will compete in the 3000m.

  • Outdoor: U20 Women – Javelin Throw 47.80 Dawn Russell (Kilbarchan AAC) Grangemouth 13 May 2023 National Outdoor Open.

Scottish National League, Grangemouth, Sun 18 June 2023

  • A long-standing club record was broken by an outstanding performance from U17 Joshua Mungin in the 800m finishing 1st with a PB time of 1:54:50.
  • A first for Zara Redmond in the U17 women’s 800m in a time of 2:14:331; and first for Conal Farquhar in the U20M 110H 15.49/0.8.

England Athletics Under 23& U20 Championships, Chelmsford, Eng, Sat17-Sun 18 Jun 2023

Congratulations to our distance runners who were competing at Chelmsford:

  • M U23 – A Bronze medal for Jack Patton in the 1500 in a time 3:45.04, and a 12th for Lewis Hannigan in the 5000 time 15:20.74.
  • M U20 – 1500 12h2 Oliver Patton 3:58.53, 5000 A bronze medal for Fraser Gilmour SB 14:42.02.

  • A season’s best for Krishawn Aiken in the M 1005= 10.44, (4h1 10.49/-0.7), and seasons best in the M200 3 21.17.

Club Sustrans Race, Wed 14 Jun 2023

  • Congratulations to Ian Keir who won the club Sustrans 4.7-mile handicap race tonight.  Ian won after pipping Iain MacLeod for second and Siobhan Inglis third.  Full results on club web site. 

National Athletics League. Eton, Sat 12 Jun 2023

  • Dawn Russell and Lewis Craigie were competing for the Glasgow Jaguars at Eton, London on Saturday, with torrential rain in the late afternoon, causing the match to be abandoned with several field events not completed.  However, there was a big PB of 42.61 for Lewis Craigie in the men’s senior Hammer Event.
  • Dawn was 10th in the women’s hammer with a throw of 46:30 and 6th in the Javelin a throw of 41:71.
  • M200 4 Krishawn Aiken 21.44.

Scottish Schools Championships, Grangemouth, 09- 10 Jun 023

  • A good day for our younger athletes at the Scottish Schools Championships, full details can be found on the SSAA web site.
  • Gold medals for our young hammer throwers in D Group, Harry Muir 27.18m and Megan Cowan 24.29m
  • B800m 3 Joshua Mungin 1:56.61, W15001 Zara Redmond 4:42.40, W30001 Amy Teasdale 9:56.67, and U13G 70H3 Megan Cowan 13.83.

  • Jemma Reekie celebrated an 800m victory in a time of 1:58.94, continuing a solid start to the season over the past couple of weeks.

GAA Miler Meeting and scottishathletics U17/U20 3000m Champs, Crownpoint, Glasgow Fri 02 Jun 2023

  • A good night at Crownpoint for our athletes:
  • Commonwealth Youth Games standard for Amy Teasdale over 3000m and to win our U17 gold with a PB time of 9:36.85, and 10th place finish for Zara Redmond-U17 10:15.54.
  • M 800 (D) A first place finish and PB for U17 Joshua Mungin 1:56.71.
  • SAAA Champ 3000 – U20M 3rd place finish and PB for Fraser Gilmour 8:17.30, and in the (B) Group 5 Luke Lindsay U20 PB 8:38.63.
