Leeds Abbey Dash 10K, Sun 24 Oct 2021

Derek Hawkins and Lewis Hannigan were in action at the Leeds 10k Dash.  Lewis came up with a very fine performance to break 30 minutes for the first time as he finished 13th in 29.36 and Derek fit again took 21st place in 29:40, congratulations to both.

Virgin Money London Mini Marathon, Sunday 03 Oct 2021

Scotland U15 Boys took team golds in their race with a superb series of performances with Oliver Patton second, and Amy Teasdale in the U15 Girls race finishing in 14th place with the team finishing in fifth position.

13 October 2021 – SATS CHALLENGE UNDER 15 WINNER

SATS Challenge under-15 age-group and this year’s winner is 1500 metres runner Oliver Patton of Kilbarchan AAC. Oliver won the Scottish title and recorded an excellent mile time of 4:27.40 to head off the challenges of the other leading athletes.  Two years ago, Oliver placed 4th in the Under 13 Challenge and he breaks a run of four female winners.

4J Studios scottishathletics Relay Championships, Linwood, Sat 11 Sep 2021

Kilbarchan AAC were among those to beat a path to the podium as we savoured a Senior Men’s double by winning both the 4x100m and 4x400m finals.

The team of Kade Thomas, Krishawn Aiken, Stephen Dunlop and Drew Yeoman finished in 42.18 to win the 4x100m showdown from VP-Glasgow and Kilmarnock Harriers.

Later the quartet of Michael Cairns, Stephen Johnston, Connor Henderson and Krishawn Aiken clocked 3:18.96 to win from Dundee Hawkhill Harriers and Livingston AC.

Van Damme Memorial Meeting, Brussels, Belgium Fri 03 Sep 2021 & Kamili Skolimowskiej Memorial Meeting, Chorozow, Poland, Sun 05 Sep 2021

Jemma Reekie had a hectic weekend – at the same Diamond League in Brussels she took 3rd place in the 800m in 1:58.77 and then travelled to the Silesia Kamila Skolimowska Memorial meet in Poland, to win the 1000m in 2:35.47.
