  • A good day for Kilbarchan athletes with Scott Connal (8.06) winning the 60m hurdles gold medal with Andrew Murphy (8.24) second position.

  • In the U17M 60m final a second-place finish for Alex Connell (7.23)
  • in the SM 60M third place for Alec Thomas (6.94) and 5th Stephen Dunlop (6.97); 6th Scott Connal (7.07).

  • A superb performances from Steph Twell at Houston half marathon; Steph scored significant PB of 68:54.

  • Congratulations to Kerry MacAngus who was one of the eight athletes named to represent Scotland in the Armagh Road Races Ireland, to be held on Thursday 14 February.

Valencia 10K, Spain, Sun 12 Jan 2020

  • Callum Hawkins has delivered another superb performance at the start of Olympic year, in fine style as he ran a big PB of 28:02 in 11th, improving on his previous best of 28:55 set at this event last year and breaking the Scottish best of 28:13 set by Allister Hutton in 1984.  Derek Hawkins (39th) clocked 29:26 in the same race in Valencia making it a good day for the Hawkins family.

Winter Throws Meeting; Grangemouth, Sat 11 Jan 2020

  • A good start to the year for Andrew Costello at the winter throws meeting, on a very wet day with a throw of 51.99m with a 7.26kg hammer.

England Athletics Indoor CE Champs, 4/5 Jan 2020

  • Scottish success in the Combined Events, GB International Andrew Murphy won Goldin the Senior Men’s Heptathlon with a score of 5606 points. Andrew’s second day performances include a 60m hurdles PB of 8.31 and a pole vault clearance of 4.93m.  On day one, Andrew set a PB of 7.16 (826) in the 60m, long jumped 7.11m, threw the shot 13.45m and achieved 1.84m in the high jump.  Many congratulations to Andrew and coach Colin Sinclair.

BMC / Glasgow AA Metric Miler Meeting (inc Scottish 3000m Championships), Emirates Arena, 03 Jan 2020

  • A great performance from by Jack Patton in the U20 men’s race winning Gold in a time of 8:31.13; and Kerry MacAngus winning Silver with a season best time of 9:44:15
