Roon the Toon 10k results, Sun 11 Jun 2017

The West District 10k championships were hosted down in Kilmarnock this year at the second running of the Roon the Toon 10k which saw over 1200 finishers complete the race.

Stuart Kerr and Ryan Waldron race fairly closely the whole way round, Stuart finishing 27th in 37:54 and Ryan 29th in 38:12.
Elaine Eadie was the only female competing for Kibarchan and finished 106th in 42:45.
Closely followed by Steven Hill (42:57) in 112th and Gavin Highgate (43:03) in 122nd.

Milngavie Trail Race Results, Sun 4 Jun 2017

Now in it’s 3rd year the Milngavie trail race continues to be a popular choice for some Kilbarchan athletes, the mixed terrain course offers a tough challenge with some big climbs early on and technical terrain thereafter using the trails around the West Highland Way and Mugdock Country Park.

GAA Miler Meet 3000m/800m Results, Fri 2 Jun 2017

GAA MILER MEET and SCOTTISH 3000M CHAMPS U20/U17(C)Bobby Gavin

The GAA Miler Meet for races over 3000m & 800m took place on at a sunny Scotstoun in Glasgow on Friday evening.

Callum Matthews had a strong run in the 800m C heat running a PB of 1:58.17 for 2nd place.

Jemma Reekie was 3rd in the 800m women’s E race running 2:07.65, impressive racing once again as Jemma has been busy recently following her 4:20.49 1500m PB at Sportcity  last weekend where she broke her own U20 club record. (more…)

A number of Kilbarchan athletes competed in the annual representative match at Loughborough at the weekend.

Martin Lipton beat his own Kilbarchan club record for the 400M Hurdles, time 51.33 seconds with Connor Henderson also having a fine run, time 52.47 seconds. Anthony Young ran a speedy 48.55 seconds for the 400m and Jemma Reekie, representing GB Juniors, ran close to her best for the 3000metres, time 9.30.82. (more…)

Stirling Marathon Results, Sun 21 May 2017

The first Stirling Marathon took place yesterday and we had 4 runners competing and all performed exceptionally well. Sharon Hastie made her marathon debut with an impressive 3:28:52 to finish 410th. Giovanni Pagliocca had a really solid run in 3:47:15, while Martin Dougall & Katrina Kynaston both finished in 3:49:19.

The West District Track and Field Championships were staged at Kilmarnock last weekend and Kilbarchan Athletic Club had a number of successes.
