Club Sustrans 5-mile Handicap, Wed 08 Jun 2022

Congratulations to Stuart Fratson winning the 2022 Sustrans Trophy race.  Six runners supported the club race which started dry but turned to rain as runners reached the turning point to come back on the slight downhill return section.  Pre-race favourites were Max McFarlane and Victor McGregor, but dark horse Stuart Fratson ran down the early two leaders and burst into the lead holding off all challengers to get his name on the magnificent Sustrans trophy.  Even some pheasants came out to cheer him on as he put in a minute faster time on the second half of the course.

Many thanks to the volunteers and supporters that turned out to help make this event a success.
