The Scottish Track and Field Championships were concluded at Scotstoun at the weekend with a number of successes for Kilbarchan Athletic Club athletes.
Gold medals were won by Jemma Reekie for the Womens 800metres (2.08.39); Krishawn Kirwan the 200metres (21.65s); and Cameron Wright under 17s 1500m steeplechase (4.27.47).
There were also fine performances by Ross Paterson, representing Red Star and winning the ambulatory 100m (12.31s) and 200m (25.11s).
Other medallists included Andrew Costello who won Silver for the Mens Hammer (53.78m) and there were Bronze medals for Kerry MacAngus, Womens 1500metres (4.31.85); Cameron Stark under 17s Hammer (42.22m) and Cameron Wright under 17s 1500m (4.04.66).
Also at the weekend, after her success in the Scottish under 15 Championships the previous week, Kirsty Costello travelled to Bedford to compete in the English under 15 Championships.
Kirsty was in superb form again, competing in the Javelin and Hammer. Her first Javelin throw of the day, measured at 43.70metres, not only won her the Gold medal but was also a Scottish Under 15 girls record.
Later in the day, it was Gold again for Kirsty, this time in the Hammer with her best Throw, measured 57.11m.
