GAA Miler Meet 3000m/800m Results, Fri 2 Jun 2017
GAA MILER MEET and SCOTTISH 3000M CHAMPS U20/U17(C)Bobby Gavin
The GAA Miler Meet for races over 3000m & 800m took place on at a sunny Scotstoun in Glasgow on Friday evening.
Callum Matthews had a strong run in the 800m C heat running a PB of 1:58.17 for 2nd place.
Jemma Reekie was 3rd in the 800m women’s E race running 2:07.65, impressive racing once again as Jemma has been busy recently following her 4:20.49 1500m PB at Sportcity last weekend where she broke her own U20 club record.
Kerry MacAngus finished 3rd in the women’s H race in a time of 2:11.44 to set a new PB over 800m.
Rachel Muir ran 2:24.85 in the 800m J heat for 4th which was also a PB.
Louise Hastie was 3rd in the 800m K heat running 2:27.15, with Aurelia Tiffoney winning Heat L in a time of 2:27.19 & finally Belle Mccormack was 8th in the 800m N heat in 2:51.39. All three girls set ting a PB performance.
At 3000m we had Conor Thomson in a highly competitive B heat when he ran 9:39.42 for 11th.
The C race then had multiple representation with Andrew MacAngus 6th in 9:12.47, Craig Kennedy setting a PB for 10th in 9:20.65 closely followed by Lewis Hannigan 11th in 9:24.3 and Jack Patton 16th in 9:30.20.
In the F heat Robert McCulloch was in action again to finish 11th (3rd V50) in 10:14.07.
