Kilbarchan Athletic Club’s Kirsty Costello from Elderslie, broke her own Scottish under 15 girls Hammer Record at Linwood Open Graded Meeting, last week, her Throw measured at 54.90 metres, which also puts her at the top of the British rankings.

The Kilbarchan Club competed in the National Relays at Grangemouth with some success.                                                                                                                                   In the 3x800metres races, the senior women’s team of Holly Thompson, Rona Tytler and Chloe Simpson won Gold, the under 17 boy’s trio of Craig Kennedy, Andrew MacAngus and Michael Simson took Silver and the under 17 girls trio of Laine Alemu, Libby Sutherland and Eilidh Gibson were Bronze medallists.

The senior women were 4^th in their 4x100m relay (Dalia Stewart, Erin Campbell, Zara Craig, Stepanie Lamb) and the under 13 girls also reached their final, finishing 8^th.
