Renfrewshire AAA Road Race Championships RESULTS, Greenock, Sun 7 Feb 2016
Well done to everyone who braved the elements yesterday at the Battery Park swamp road races.
In the Under 11 boys Oliver Patton secured a bronze medal, shortly afterwards brother Jack Patton secured gold in the Under 13 boys.
In the Under 15’s Craig Kennedy finished 2nd with David McNair 3rd. Eilidh Gibson also secured bronze.
Conor Thomson led from the front in the Under 17 mens race to win gold, while Rona Tytler was 2nd in the women and Holly Thompson 3rd.
In the final race of the day over 5 miles Gemma Rankin was the run away winner in the womens race.

The Renfrewshire Road Race championships will take place on Sunday 7 February at Battery Park, Greenock. A bus will be provided and the pick-up times are listed below. If athletes are travelling direct please let me know and be there by 11.15 at the latest. Athletes must wear a club vest and while we have vests available it would be helpful if athletes could purchase a vest.
The cost of the bus and entry is £5.

Changing, declarations and Presentations at the Royal West of Scotland Boat Club, Greenock (Gourock end of Esplanade), from 11am and the organising club, Inverclyde AC, will post race maps in the changing and declaration areas and at the start area in Battery Park.
Race start times –
Boys u11 ie 9-10 on 31/8/15 1mile 12 noon
Girls u11 ie 9-10 on 31/8/15 1mile 12.15
NB u11s must be minimum age 9 years on the day of the race.
u13 boys and girls ie 11-12 on 31/8/15 2miles 12.30
u15 boys and girls ie 13-14 on 31/8/15 2miles 12.50
u17 men and women ie 15-16 on 31/8/15 3 miles 1.15
Sen Men and Senior Women (incl u20s) 5 miles 1.45
(Note .. Age categories – age at 1st September 2015).
Declarations all young athletes 11-12noon, Seniors 12.00-1.30
Presentations .. young athletes 1.45 – 2pm .. Seniors after 3pm
Note that the races for the younger age groups will be within the confines of Battery Park
