Parking is available within the Stadium for Officials and organisers only.  Due to the limited space available within the car park at Scotstoun during a busy period, staff have asked that competitors use the pre-arranged overflow spaces available within the playground of St Thomas Aquinas School in Mitre Road.

The School/Car Park is shown on the attached map and is less than 400m from the Stadium.

The Start line will be on Danes Drive, near to the entrance to the Stadium.

Changing and showers can be accessed within the Stadium.  Refreshments will be provided as part of the entry fee on the Club Deck after the race.

Teams of 4 men or 3 women will circuit the three and a quarter mile course.  The cost of entry will be £20 for a male team and £16 for a female team.

Vets are 35 years for women and 40 years for men.

A full map of the route can be downloaded from www.vp-glasgow.co.uk/mcandrew.htm

Last years winning team was Inverclyde AC who finished with a combined time of 1:08:13.Andy Forbes winning the McAndrew for Victoria Park in 1951

Glasgow University Hares and Hounds won the senior women’s race, finishing in a combined time of 58.01.  The finishing positions are recorded below.

Just under 100 teams competed for the prizes on offer in 2013.  This year we expect to exceed that number.

The Race is held under UKA Cross Country Rules and as such Rule 507 stipulates the youngest athlete should be a 2nd year U20 who turned 17 on or before the 31st of August this year.

Who says we don’t remember past winners, right is a picture of Andy Forbes winning the MacAndrew Relay for Victoria Park in 1951.

£700 in vouchers to be spent at Achilles Heel on Great Western Road, Glasgow, will be awarded in prizes to the winning teams and individuals on the day.

Hope to see you there.
