The Scottish Road and Cross Country season came to an end with the National Road Relay Championships at Livingston on Sunday.
Kilbarchan Athletic Club’s Women’s team finished the season in good form, though just outside the medals, in 4th place. The Women’s 4 stage event involves alternate shorter and longer stages, nominally 3 miles and 6 miles and the local quartet of Christina Rankin, Elspeth Curran, Jennifer Rooney and Leanne Hamilton were never out of the top 5, time of 1 hour 52 minutes 8 seconds. Winners were Central AC, who also won the Mens 6 stage event.
