West District Road Running Championships 2014

Please see below details of the three races (10k, 10-mile and Half Marathon) which make up this year’s Scottish Athletics West District Road Running Championships.

West District medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female (U20 and older) plus 1st, 2nd and 3rd Masters (40+) male and female (40+ age is on the day, and if a 40+ master finishes in the first 3, they get both medals)

NOTE: New venue for 2014 = John Cumming Stadium (at Carluke Leisure Centre, 135 Carnwath Road, ML8 4EA) Free parking, changing facilities and showers.
Please help the organisers by pre-entering before 24 March (race memento to pre-entries only)
Collect numbers and timing chip on the day.

Clubsportnl Monklands Half Marathon

Race Start: 10.30am

Parking, changing and number/chip collection from St Ambrose High School, 65 Townhead Street, Coatbridge, ML5 2HT.
Start/Finish is a 500m away within Drumpellier Park.  Joint initiative between Clubsportnl, North Lanarkshire Leisure Ltd and North Lanarkshire Council.
Please help the organisers by entering online ASAP.
Pre-race information will be sent out by email so be sure to include an accurate email address. Collect numbers and timing chips on the day.T-shirt and medal for all finishers.

Organised by Kirkintilloch Olympians.
Collect numbers on the day (from 6.15pm) at Lairdsland Primary School, Kerr Street, Kirkintilloch, G66 1JZ
300m walk to the start.

To compete in District Championships, a competitor must be a member of the Scottish Athletics membership scheme, plus any of a, b or c from UKA Rule 9 (2012) below.
Athletes may only compete in championships from one district each season (eg not West and East).
Rule 9        County, District and Regional Qualifications
2. Scottish District Championships
(1) A District qualification shall be acquired as follows:
      (a) By birth
      (b) By residence in the District
 (c) By first claim membership of an affiliated Club with its headquarters within the District boundary
