Scottish Athletics Podium Award Accreditation

Tonight representatives from our club committee and coaching staff, Renfrewshire Leisure and Scottish Athletics attended the start of the under 11s training session to celebrate the club receiving the prestigious Podium Award from Scottish Athletics.

This award is the next level of excellence the club has achieved following receiving the Foundation Award a couple of years ago. It signifies that we as an organisation are committed to developing and increasing the number and level of participation of it’s volunteers and athletes. This includes athletes achieving more medal placings in all events. To achieve that we see the under 11s group as the starting point in the development path to elite athlete status.

The presentation was made by Stephen Maguire, Scottish Athletics Director of Coaching and presented to club president Jason Pender who gratefully accepted the award on behalf of the efforts by the club.
