Scottishathletics Awards Dinner, Hilton Hotel Glasgow, Sat 26 Oct 2024

Josh had a superb season on the track with a string of medals over his favored 800m distance.  He won England Athletics titles indoors and out, as well as the SIAB International.  Other highlights include a Scottish U17 and U20 double, and a Scottish U17 Record.

Some good performances and PBs from our young athletes,

U17W Andrea Pencheva discus 13.75m and a PB of 28.87m in the hammer. In the Boys hammer comp U15B Harry Muir 30:38m, U15B Alexandros Dimitroulakis 21.24m with a PB for U13B Iasonas Dimitroulakis 19.39m.

Scottish National Cross-Country Relays, Cumbernauld, Sat 19 Oct 2024

In the Young Females race, the team of Rebecca McCulloch (U13), Amelie Kerr (U15) and Zara Redmond (U17) finished 11th. Zara also ran the fastest lap of the day with a time of 9:34 to finish 21s faster than the second fastest lap!

In the Young Males race, the team of Angus Farley (U13), John Davidson (U15) and Andrew Shorts (U17) finished 13th overall. Jacob Sindhar also had a good run for the U13s.

The Senior Women team of Libby Sutherland, Rosalind Teasdale, Amy Teasdale and Sarah Dempsey finished 17th.  The Senior Men did not have a full team, but well done to Robbie Ferguson and Stuart Kerr for putting in solid runs.  Well done to all those who completed!

West District Cross-Country Relays, Kilmarnock, Sat 02Oct 2024

In the Young Females event, the team of Lara Arnott (U13), Amelie Kerr (U15) and Zara Redmond (U17) was the first KAAC team home in 6th position. KAAC B finished in 16th, Rebecca McCulloch (U13), Daisy De Lange (U15) and Clara Bain (U17)with KAAC in 18th, Kira Mitchell (U13), Cerys MacKellar (U15) and Cara McMinn (U17). Zara Redmond posted the fastest lap of the race in a time of 9:47, the only athlete to go sub 10 minutes.

In the Young Males event, KAAC A were first home in 5th position, Tyler McMerkin (U13), Jay Jenkins (U15) and Alistair Street (U17). KAAC B were next home in 10th position, Angus Farley (U13), Fraser McKillop (U15) and Joshua Mungin (U17). KAAC C were home in 18th, Oran Feely (U13), Finlay Mitchell (U15) and Andrew Shorts (U17) with KAAC D in 21st, Noah Kerr (U15), Kerr Watkins (U15) and Lewis Stevenson (U17). Fraser McKie (U13) also had a good run in the U13 group.

The Senior Women’s team of Libby Sutherland, Amy Teasdale and Sarah Dempsey picked up the bronze medal! 🥉

The Senior Men’s team of Jack Patton, Josh Mckinlay, Robbie Ferguson and Scott MacAulay narrowly missed out on the medals finishing 4th.

Great Scottish Run 2024, Glasgow Sun 06 Oct 2024

Congratulations to Callum Hawkins claiming his third victory in the Great Scottish Run, with an excellent run from Ewan Mckerral.  Also, good results for our 10K athletes.
