  • The performances listed below were improvements on existing records and were considered by the Track and Field Commission.
  • The Commission are satisfied that they meet the requirements for recognition as records. These were duly ratified at our Board meeting on 09 September 2024.
  • 800m U17 Men (existing record 1:50.42 – Ben Greenwood, 2015)
  • 1:49.87 Joshua Mungin (Kilbarchan AAC) Trafford, Manchester 14 May 2024

Stride Athletics Flat n Fast 3, Linlithgow, Fri 20 Sep 2024

  • Kilbarchan AAC had 3 athletes racing in the Flat ‘n’ Fast 3 5k and 3 junior athletes in the 3k in Linlithgow.
  • Robbie Ferguson led the charge to finish in a new PB of 14:23.
  • Alistair Street continued his great season with another PB in a time of 15:01 for the U17 athlete.
  • Robert McCulloch rounded off the KAAC athletes in the 5k with a solid time of 18:50.
  • In the junior 3k, Tyler McMeekin was the first KAAC athlete home in a time of 10:33.
  • Rebecca McCulloch was next in a time of 12:56.
  • Miranda McCulloch rounded off the day with a run of 14:28.
  • Well, done to all those who completed.

  • W 800 5 Jemma Reekie 1:59.13.

Press Release Connor’s Final Hurdle,11 September 2024

  • After 16 years Connor Henderson is retiring from international athletics, Connor won Scottish championship medals in the 400m hurdles and was a big figure on the scene, competing for the Glasgow Jaguars and competed at the World University Games for the Philippines.
  • In an Instagram post recently, Connor said: “A decision like this is never easy but it is inevitable. I am content.  Sixteen years at a high level is madness competing all over the world bit it is time to relax a little and give time to those who have been patient with me on this pursuit.
  • ‘What’s next?  I don’t know but I will still run.
  • From Scotland to the Philippines and everywhere in between the journey has been beautiful. Thanks for all the support.”  Good wishes to Connor for the future.

Podfather Stirling 10K (incl Scottish 10K Championships), Stirling, 08 Sep 2024

Congratulations to our four athletes who completed the Stirling 10K, leading the way, Ewan McKerral ran a PB to finish 23rd in a time of 32:08.  Fraser Gilmour was next across, finishing 26th in a time of 32:14.  Fraser won silver for U20 male  Next over the line, making his return to racing was Scott MacAulay, finishing 92nd in a time of 34:51. Libby Sutherland rounded off the KAAC athletes running a PB of 37:20, finishing 18th female (169 overall).
