Kilbarchan Athletic Club had a remarkably successful day at Netherpollok last Sunday at the Renfrewshire County Cross Country Relay Championships, climaxed by winning the Mens 4 x 4K race with a quartet of Thomas McDonald, Robert Quinn, Euan Trout and Ewan McKerral.
The club also won Gold in all the boys age group races, teams of 3, with each runner covering 2.5K, The Kilbarchan girls also did well winning the under 15 girls race and picking up Bronze medals in the under 13 and under 17 events.
The County Championships cover the historical county area, including Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire and Inverclyde Districts as well as most of south west Glasgow,

under 11 boys – Jack Kennedy, Oliver Patton, Callum Dymock
under 13 boys – Cameron Hunter, Lewis Hannigan, Jack Patton
under 15 boys – Cameron Wright, Craig Kennedy, David McNair
under 17 boys – Conor Thomson, Aidan Comerford, Sam McNair
Senior – Thomas McDonald, Robert Quinn, Euan Trout, Ewan McKerral
under 15 girls — Kim Crawford, Leona Murray, Eilidh Gibson
Bronze medallists:
under 13 girls — Louise Hastie, Kimberley Gilchrist, Alisha Sivell
under 17 girls – Holly Thompson, Emma Johnstone, Emma Fulton
This coming Saturday, the National Cross Country Relay Championships are at Cumbernauld.
