The Club are keen to develop the horizontal jumps section with coach Jason Pender soon to be taking over as the lead coach for the jumps squad.
Jason has a multi-event background as an athlete with experience in jumps and will be heavily involved with the coaching of our horizontal jumps athletes moving forward.
Over the last 12 months Jason has been involved in coaching sessions with Olympic Triple Jump Champion Champion Christian Taylor and UKA National Coach Mentor Femi Akinsanya, as well as being scheduled to attend upcoming workshops in the latter part of 2013.

Darren will oversee the coaching session on the night (7pm-8:30pm) with a view to following up as a mentor to our jumps coaching team to take the development forward.

All athletes who have an interest in developing in horiazontal jumps are welcome to take part in this session. Coaches and parents are also welcome to take part.

scottishathletics recently announced their Impact 2018 Event Development Programme detailing their plans for the coaching of athletes across various track & field events including the appointment of Robert Hawkins as the Coach mentor for Endurance.
