If you are a Male/Female Kilbarchan AAC athlete interested in competing please fill out the form below to confirm entry.Athletes under 17 and above are eligible to compete in this one.

Men’s teams of 4, compete for the George Cummings Trophy

Women’s teams of 3 for the Trust Inn Trophy

Declarations at Houston Church Hall, Main Street, Houston, by 2.00pm please.

Travel from Glasgow by M8 and then the Johnstone bypass (signposted Irvine. A737), off at Johnstone, turn right, through mini roundabouts, 600m straight through roundabout and follow road approx 2ml to large roundabout, turn left, 1st right, across roundabout down the Main Street in Houston, the church hall is about 50 metres on the left.

On the advice of the police there will be limited parking in Houston Village.  Please follow the parking signs to Gryffe High School, which is 400m from the venue.

Kilmacolm Running Festival Results, Sun 10 Sep 2017


In the Girls 3k race Laine Alemu (11:14) was 1st in the 14-16 category, closely followed by Libby Sutherland (11:47) & Eilidh Gibson (11:51).

Abbie Alemu (12:01) was 2nd Girl in the 12-13 category with Sarah Forbes (12:23) 3rd.

Over in the 10k Caroline Cochran was 3rd female in a time of 44:07.

The Summer Championships concluded with the Kilmacolm Half Marathon & Stirling 10k, Ryan Waldron was 17th in the Half in 1:27:05 to take maximum points. Martin Dougall was next in 35th running 1:37:12, Norman Groves finished 50th in 1:41:07 & Andrew Cochran 55th in 1:42:51.

Stirling 10k Results, Sun 10 Sep 2017

Kilbarchan had representation all over Scotland at the weekend with lot’s of races taking place.

At Stirling the national 10k championships where being hold over the notoriously fast course, only the weather can play it’s part to slow you down.

Robert McCulloch was 1st home in 36:35, closely followed by Stuart Kerr (113th) in 36:48, Donald Petrie (134th) in 37:37 and then Brian Graham (562nd) in 52:13.
In the female race Elspeth Curran ran 36:48 to take 8th.
