Jemma Reekie continued her progress as one of Britains top Athletics prospects at British Milers Club meeting at Stretford, Manchester last week. Jemma, a training partner of Laura Muir, was competing in the 3000m and she recorded a time of  9 minutes 11.20 seconds, not just a Kilbarchan club record but remarkably puts her top of the UK under 20s rankings for the event and in line for selection for the European Championships later this summer.

Elsewhere, The British Universities Championships were staged at Bedford, where Conor Henderson won the 400m Hurdles in 52.52seconds.
