Reekie runs massive 3000m PB in Manchester
Jemma Reekie spent the early part of her 2017 season setting records indoors on the track at various distances and is now transferring that to the outdoor track with an expectional run in Manchester last night.
In Heat 2 of the 3000m she finished 10th overall in a mixed race with a super speedy 9:11.20 which puts her second on the Scottish U20 All-time list behind Yvonne Murray who ran 9:04 at U20 level. Only the very talented senior Claire Suck of City of Leeds AC was ahead in terms of the female competition.
