We had 6 men competing at the first double point race of the new summer championships.
Derek Hawkins took the national 10 mile silver medal with a fine sub 50 effort finishing just behind Shettlestons Wayney Ghebresilassie in a time of 49:57. A PB for the now relatively unusual distance.
One of our newest members Peter Tucker was next Kilbarchan runner home in 55:28 for 25th place.
Robert McCulloch & Ryan Waldron were neck and neck most of the way round but the 7th mile hill saw Robert edge ahead for 85th place in 1:01:12 with Ryan following in 1:01:38 for 91st.
Steven Hill ran a 3 min personal best (improving on a 2013 time at the same event) to finish 160th in 1:08:01.
Brian Graham also improved a minute on his 2015 time with 1:25:12 for 306th place.
Great running in nice conditions.
