Kilbarchan had athletes from all age groups competing yesterday in Kilmacolm with some great results.

In the 3k event Oliver Patton was 1st boy in the 8-9 year old category, running 12:39.

Ross Hastie was 4th in the male 10-11 category, with Jack Kennedy 6th, times of 12:52 & 13:59.
Julia Daws took the silver medal in the same girls category running 14:37, with Kirstie Cochran a fine 4th in 14:45.

In the 12-13 boys category it was a Kilbarchan 1-2 with Jack Patton (10:16) just edging Lewis Hannigan who settled for silver (10:19). Ross Kennedy was 7th in 15:01.
On the girls12-13 side it was 1-2-3 with Rachel Muir 1st (11:56), Lousie Hastie 2nd (12:17) & Ola Zurakowska 3rd 12:31.
More fine performances further down with Millie Spence 5th, Hannah Fleming 6th, Megan Thomson 7th & Ellie McCroy 9th to make it 7 of the top 10 in Kilbarchan colours.

Finally in the male 14-16 category Craig Kennedy was a bronze medallist in 10:02 with Liam Donoghue finishing 4th in 10:50 and Hunter Daws 7th in 11:22.
Leona Murray took victory in the female 14-16 age category in 11:05, Eilidh Gibson was 2nd in 11:35 just edging Holly Thompson who settled for bronze in 11:36, Laine Alemu 4th and Libby Sutherland 5th.

The next event was the 10k with Iona Miller finishing 1st under 20 female in a great time of 40:46.
Ryan Waldron finished 9th overall, running 39:18.

Entries have already opened to the 2017 events with discounted rates available until 18th September 2016.
