Laura Stark has booked her place in the GB Junior team for the European Hill running Championships  in July. The 16 year old from Kilmacolm, the Scottish under 20s Champion,  won the trial at Whinlatter Forest in Cumbria at the weekend, finishing ahead of competitors from all over Britain, her time 16 minutes 31 seconds and she will lead the British team taking part in the Championships in Arco, Italy in July.

Also at the weekend, former Commonwealth Games marathon star Hayley Haining, was 2nd, first Brit, in the Edinburgh Marathon, showing good form with a time of 2 hours 43 minutes 3 seconds. Her young Kilbarchan clubmate Alisha Sivell, just 13, won the Womens event in the 5K race, in a  time of 19 minutes 34 seconds.
