Some top performances at the Loughborough Games at the weekend.Martin Lipton broke his own Kilbarchan club record in the Guest 400metres Hurdles race, finishing 2nd in 51.41 seconds and Jemma Reekie continued her fine form in the Womens 1500m beating her own Kilbarchan under 20s record for the 2nd time in 2 weeks, her time 4 minutes 24.22 seconds. Also a fine run by Anthony Young, West District 200m and 400m Champion, winning his 400metres race in a Personal Best time of 48.07 seconds.

The 2nd meeting of the Scottish Young Athletes League was also on at the weekend, at Kilmarnock.

Kirsty Costello was a double winner in the under 15 girls competition, first in the Javelin with 33.81m which broke her own club record, and the Shot with 9.09m. Eilidh Gibson won the 800m 2 20.92 while David McNair won the boys event in 2.06.82 and Jack Patton won the 1500m in 4.30.17.

There were also top places in the under 15 age group for Erin Johnstone sprint Hurdles 2nd, Alisha Sivell 1500m 2nd, Mackenzi Cunningham 100m 3rd while Lewis Hanigan won the 1500m boys B race.

In the under 13s age group, also good places for Aurelia Tiffoney 800m 3rd, Ola Zurakowska 800m B race 1st, Rachel Muir 1200m 3rd and Theo Mitchell was 2nd in the High Jump.

In the under 17 boys events, Andrew MacAngus and Craig Kennedy were 3rd in the 800m and 1500m respectively.
