It was another successful afternoon in Kilmarnock with lots of athletes bringing home West District medals. Martin Lipton opened proceedings with a a gold medal performance in the 400m hurdle clocking 52.84.
Michael Cairns picked up bronze in the U17m 400m hurdles in 62.24 but picked up the gold over 100m hurdles running 15.47.
Kerry MacAngus was 2nd in the U20w 800m, running 2:18.65.
In the U20m over 100m Alexander Watters took silver in 12.24 and he was bronze medalist over 110m hurdles in 19.08.
Conor Thomson was 3rd U20m in the 3000m steeplechase in 10:42.11 picking up a bronze medal.
The U20 women’s 100m hurdles saw double medals for Kilbarchan with Ellie Fulton picking up the win and Erin Campbell the bronze, times of 15.69 and 17.29 respectively.
Anthony Young followed his 200m success last night with another gold in the 400m in a time of 48.75 with Blair Crawford taking bronze in 50.10.
Mackenzi Cunningham bagged bronze in the U15g 100m in a time of 13.77.
Over in the field Ellie Fulton tripled her gold medal tally for the day throwing 36.87 in the U20w Javelin and joint 1st in the high jump clearing 1.61m.
Kirsty Costello also bagged another gold for the weekend throwing 31.94m in he U15g Javelin.
Andrew Murphy tied first with his 4.30m clearance in the senior men’s pole vault.
Jack Lochans cleared 2.03m to pick up bronze.
Sam O’Kane won the senior men’s discus with a 37.57m throw.
