The good weather extended through to Helensburgh on Thursday evening and 7 athletes made the trip over the Erskine Bridge to sunny Helensburgh for the opening race in the Polaroid 10k series.
Euan Carrick led the way finishing 14th overall in a new PB of 35:56 which improves on his 2013 PB of 36:02. Next home and another for Grant Sandilands who smashed through 40 minutes for the first time with a 39:08. Ryan Waldron also under 40 minutes with a 39:53.
Our first and only female running was Julia Wylie with a 44:57, just ahead of Robin Scott in 44:58. Norman Groves ran 53:32, with race walker David Mushet rounding off the field in 1:12:54.
