Kilbarchan Athletic Club were well represented at the International Cross Country event in Edinburgh last Saturday, competition also including Celtic Games as well as Scottish Inter-District Championships.

The Senior race included an International involving teams representing the USA and Europe, as well as a Great Britain and Northern Ireland select.

In the Senior race, Callum Hawkins made the pace for most of the 8K race, eventually finishing 4th, 2nd Brit behind Mo Farah who was outsprinted by American Garret Heath. Although disappointed to just miss an individual medal, it was still a fine effort by Callum and there was consolation in GB winning team Gold.
