Lindsay Scott was in fine form at the British Masters Championships in Birmingham last weekend.Lindsay, from Paisley and a member of Kilbarchan Athletic Club, was competing in the M75 category, and he won Gold in the Javelin with a 25.16m throw, then went on to win Bronze medals in the 100m time 16.51s and in the 200m with a time of 35.38s.

Also at the weekend, the Kilbarchan club had number of athletes competing for Team Glasgow, in the UK Development League Northern Premier Division at Grangemouth.

Mia Shepherd was on top form, winning the under 20s Hammer with a Personal Best of 40.53m ad Mia was also 2nd in the 100m Hurdles. Another top performer was Shona Ross who won the under 20s Triple Jump with a PB of 10.96m and was also 2nd in the Long Jump clearing 4.68m. There was also a 2nd place for Andrew Costello in the under 17s Hammer, with a 50.99m throw.

Last Friday, at the British Milers meeting in Glasgow, the Kilbarchan club had 12 competitors in the various 1500m races and remarkably, 9 ran Personal Bests, most notably Alisha Sivell who broke the under 13 girls club record with a time of 4.54.29.
