Kilbarchan Athletic Club competed in the 3rd meeting of the Scottish Mens League Division 1 at Kilmarnock  weekend, finishing 4th  and with one meeting to go, look set to retain their top division status.

There was a top performance by Jack Lochans, who won the High Jump with a personal best clearance of 2.12metres and Anthony Young was also a winner, leading home the 400m in 49.57s as well as 2nd in the 200m B race.

Blair Crawford was in good form in the sprints, 2nd in the 200m in 22.76s and 3rd in the 100m in 11.04s, as well as winning the B High Jump with a 1.70m clearance.

Multi eventer Andrew Murphy was also in form finishing 2nd in the Sprint Hurdles, in 16.12s, 3rd in the Discus  36.83m and in Javelin 42.15m.

There was also a fine performance from 19 year old  Euan Gillham, 3rd in the 5000m in a Personal best of 14 minutes 53.59 seconds and also in the middle distance events, good efforts from Sam Davies, Aidan Comerford, Callum Matthews and  Stephen Trainer, gained valuable points as did Timothy Gray in the support sprints.

In the Field events, Shane Hand was in good form in the Hammer, Shot and Discus and Praise Olatoke in the Long Jump and Triple Jump.
