Callum Hawkins had an impressive run in the Leeds Abbey Dash 10K last Sunday, setting a Personal Best for the distance 29 minutes 21 seconds, to finish 2nd, just behind fellow Scot Andrew Butchart.

Jonny Glen (Inverclyde AC), won the Renfrewshire County Cross Country Championships at Johnstone’s Thomas Shanks Park at the weekend from Glenpark Harriers Stephen Trainer with Kilbarchan’s Robert Quinn, winning the veterans over 40s award, finishing 4th overall.
Sharon Muir (Inverclyde), won the Ladies 4mile race with Kilbarchan’s Elaine Eadie having a fine run to finish in 2nd place.

Kilbarchan Athletic Club produced some good performances in the younger age groups. Ewan McKerral led from the start to win the under 17 boys race from clubmate Aidan Comerford. Other individual medallists included Alisha Sivell , 2nd in the under 13 girls race and Aurelia Tiffoney was 3rd for the under 11 girls. For the boys, Andrew MacAngus was 3rd in the under 15s event and Jack Patton and David McNair were 2nd and 3rd in the under 13s race.
Gold team medals were won by the Kilbarchan under 13 boys team of Jack Patton, David McNair and Niall MacLean and silver medals were won by the under 15 girls Katie McGinn, Kim Crawford, Emma Johnstone; also the under 13 girls Alisha Sivell, Leona Murray, Eilidh Gibson; under 11 girls Aurelia Tiffoney, Louise Hastie, Eve Blincow, under 15 boys Andrew MacAngus, Josh Hendry, Michael Simson and Bronze medals went to the under 11 boys trio of Callum Fleming, Finlay Gray and Aiden McCaskill.
