There were outstanding performances by Kilbarchan athletes at the Scottish Womens 10K in Glasgow last weekend.
Hayley Haining, celebrated her recent selection for the Scottish team for the Commonwealth Games Marathon, by finishing 2nd in 35 minutes 21 second, closely followed home by clubmate Elpeth Curran, just 80 metres behind in 3rd place, time 35.39, with Gemma Rankin a close 4th, time 36.00. There were also good runs from Elaine Eadie and Jennifer Rooney, 23rd and 24th out of around 7000 runners.
Elsewhere, the Scottish Junior Hill Race championships were staged at Ben Lomond, with Laura Stark winning the under 17s title in a time of 23 minutes 56 seconds.
