That’s my 100th Parkrun. done and feeling a great sense of achievement to have reached that milestone. Got to Pollok Park at about 9am and had a 20 min pre run warm up. Got of to a good start and knew about halfway round that a PB was unlikely. I kept steady to finish in 23:04, my third fastest time at Pollok. A PB will just have to wait till another time, but, quite happy with my run today. Thanks everyone for all your support and best wishes.

Before the race Brian looked back on his park runs …

Just a few facts and figures about Parkrun. I took part in my first run at Pollok on 03/04/10 in a time of 26:05 with an age grade of 56.55%. I’ve completed 99 runs since then, my fastest being at Pollok on 31/08/13 with a time of 22:30 (AG 67.19) I’m hoping to be at Pollok this Saturday for my 100th run and hope to try for a PB. I’ve averaged 2.3 runs per month since I started Parkrun, I think that shows that I quite enjoy it! This year has been particularly good for improving my times and the knock on effect on my other race distance performances has been astounding. Running has helped me to overcome issues in my personal life this year and I hope to keep on improving as I get older. I feel like I’m in a good place just now and really starting to enjoy life again. Anyway, I’ve said enough, roll on Saturday!

I’m sure he’s looking forward to the next 100!!
